Situated in the heart of Bloemfontein Central Business District, Bon Hotel Bloemfontein offers the best in accommodation, hospitality and food. The Hotel formerly known as Protea Hotel is the right place to go if you want to experience great hospitality and food and it is an ideal place to chill with your buddies at.

The hotel has four top class private suites. If you want your own space, nice shower and bathroom to relax at Bon Hotel has just that for you. The private suites has beautiful antique-inspired look that is ideal for those who just want to snap the ideal selfie or Instagram pictures.

Going through the second floor of the hotel you will notice on your way to the restaurant a wall full of pictures which I call a “Wall of fame”. It has pictures of celebrities, politicians and local people who has visited the hotel. The wall of fame adds to the hospitality and customer service experience  as it shows that not only does Bon hotel admire their guests, they create memories for them irrespective whether they are well known or not.

The hotel is very clean, from the reception, the elevator to the rooms, the corridors are spotless. A clean environment is indeed attractive.

Sylvia, who was my awesome guide as we were maneuvering the hotel offered me what I usually get from the receptionists every time I visit the hotel for functions, she gave me great customer service.

As a traveller or a tourist, customer service matter’s a lot and this is what I really got from the staff and general manager.
The Wall of Fame

No matter how many stars a hotel is graded at, it should be able to be a haven for Events Managers who wants to host big functions. Be it weddings, baby showers or meetings, a spacious venue to accommodate many people is vital and Bon Hotel has six conference rooms which can accommodate up to 500 people.

The conference rooms are ideal for events managers who wants to host functions  at a professionally run place like Bon Hotel. Some of the major functions held at the hotel include Miss Plus World South Africa, fashion shows and government functions and meetings are frequently held at Bon.
Lesotho tourists and international guest do frequent the hotel demonstrating the capability of Bon Hotel to be a home away from home for tourists.

If you are touring or visiting a place, it’s not only about accommodation that matters but sightseeing, adventure and the ability to have fun.  Bon hotel offers a city tour for tourists where they visit Naval hill and tour the City of Roses for more adventure.

Being at the heart of the Bloem CBD is an advantage as the hotel is closer to shops. If you are into shopping and looking for a professional hotel closer to shops, banks, fast food outlets or salons, Bon hotel is the right place for you due to its close proximity to the shops as it’s situated in the  Bloem Plaza Shopping centre vicinity.

If the is one thing that can make people love or hate a place is food. Food is able to make people fall in love with a place or hate it to the core. The chef’s at Bon Hotel are professionally trained and knows what they are doing.

The hotel offers daily buffet and a Sunday Lunch on Sundays. If you want to take you family for dinner, the buffet is one to try.

If you prefer to just have your ribs in peace or tag a friend along, why don’t you try the ribs Special the Hotel offers for just R80. The ribs special runs until 30th September.

If you prefer to have a cold beer unbothered or with the boys or the ladies after a hard day at work or on a ladies night out, the bar is the ideal place to be.

Parking is vital, it is important to be assured that your car will be safe at all times. The hotel provides a 24-hour basement parking that has security. It’s safe and secure.
